What my students say...
The combination of theory and classroom instruction, followed by practical application in the field, and then analysis of the photos taken in the field on the computer was very effective and helped drive home the concepts being taught. Allan demonstrated great knowledge of photography, both theoretical and practical, but more importantly, he demonstrated the patience and communication ability to teach it. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Allan as a knowledgeable and effective photography instructor.
Allan effectively used hands-on demonstrations, visual aids and field practice to teach the content of the course and make it interesting and practical for the students. He was very patient and willing to spend as much time as was necessary to help the participants of varying ability to master the concepts he was teaching. Allan provided a very relaxing and inviting learning environment which helped his students feel comfortable and excited to learn.
